Nancy Wooddell Warlick grew up in West Virginia. She knew from a young age that God was calling her to become a missionary, and specifically to become a missionary in what was then the Belgian Congo. With her husband, Bill Warlick, she served as a Presbyterian mission worker based in the Democratic Republic of Congo (renamed Zaire in 1971) and later in Zimbabwe, living out her calling in a number of African countries. Nancy became a witness before the U. S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to the crisis unfolding in Zaire. From hilarious family adventures with her three children to heart-warming and heart-breaking tales of vulnerable children on the streets of Africa, she looks back on a life of joy, serving the God she loves.
