Elephant in the Closet

Tristan's in the midst of her sophomore year in high school and starting to question her identity, what created it, and where the limitations are (or aren't).. Last year her younger brother Zach was bullied in middle school for 'not being boy enough' (written about in Elephant In The Classroom) and now she is secretly wondering just what it actually means to Be A Girl in the new millennium. Besides exploring it through her art, she probes her mother who teaches philosophy, her father who edits ridiculous Hollywood scripts, her eccentric great aunt, her new best friend Chloe, a cute boy at school that she may or may not have a crush on, even her psychology teacher, who invites students to look more deeply into the roles society conditions us to play, and to examine their validity. Then a new girl arrives at school who mesmerizes Tristan, forcing her to further confront what it is she wants...
