Write On!

CityLit Kids builds a community of enthusiastic readers and writers in Baltimore City public schools by bringing the literary world into the classroom. Operating currently at Govans Elementary in Baltimore City, the program works with fourth- and fifth-graders to explore aspects of creative writing through read-aloud activities, creative journaling, guest visits by local authors, and short- and long-term writing projects. This anthology collects the best writing by CityLit Kids created during the 2011-12 academic year.
