However, Derek, a youth of the later generation of Himmingtons, will uncover a dark secret that his family has been hiding for over a century. He also discovers the missing pieces of his father's death eight years ago. Despite the warnings and mysterious encounters, Derek and his younger sister, Susan, begin to embark on a journey that will change their lives forever as they are plunged into a secret ceremony called the "Event" where they fight for their freedom. Derek finds himself having to make a God-given choice in order to recover the loss that he faces.
