Daniel Whittle, a major in the Civil War, shares his insights into spiritual warfare. He challenges the reader to the trumpet of the Gospel. He begins with realizing the necessity to be born again by the Holy Spirit for warfare to be possible. He explains that Satan is a real person and is deceptive, and to use the Word of God to overcome him. Being dead to sin, he explains, is being dead to God?s judgment, in relation to God?s Law of sin, but spiritual warfare still exists.
