A Faith Mission Pilgrim
John Hamilton
...known by his drinking mates as 'wee half-pint Hammy' during his time as a barman in the pubs in Scotland. Due to his height, John would serve pints of beer standing on top of a beer-crate. Yet, amongst the laughter within the pubs, a day would come that a group of Faith Mission lads decided to pray for him and refused to stop praying for him, until he would have an encounter with God. Jesus came into his life and shortly afterwards he entered the Faith Mission College.
But his hard life was not about to end in Bible College... As the working son, he was the bread-winner of the house; and when he left home to go to Bible College, his mother disowned him. Yet, in trusting God, his needs and that of his mother would be powerfully met!
Finishing Bible College as a pilgrim, he was sent out to his first Faith Mission series of meetings. On entering the caravan where he would stay during the campaign, the food cupboards were empty. His colleague panicked but John decided to pray... God would answer in a divine way.
Read how he shared his first testimony, so fearful, and he was standing on sugar in front of a packed room, to (at the end of his life), rising from his death bed to minister to one who had a lesser need.
This is a remarkable true story of a young man who fought conviction of the Spirit, through surrendering to the Spirit, to knowing how to walk in the Spirit. Be encouraged and inspired as you read 'A Faith Mission Pilgrim.'
