Alton Cronworth

A story of wide appeal for those with an interest in history dealing with a remote, outwardly quiet, fourteenth century Anglo-Norman village having unsettled feelings stirring within its Anglo-Saxon populace ... including two thrusting and resolute young people with musical talent.



They seek to escape servile obligation to the oppressive Francophile nobility and Church princes, so challenging the exploitative established manorial order.



In parallel, a sympathetic French cleric, sharing their ideals, also feels imprisoned - by the impositions and methods of the church, and strives to breaks free ... they all start to change their lives, but fate intervenes.
