Kashmir
John Baker
A daily journal written by a Serviceman in 1946 whilst on leave in Kashmir. It tells of his trips to the many places of interest in the area, with much description of the scenery, including the bird and plant life he found there. The author had a great interest in the Church Mission Schools and has described these in great detail, giving an insight into how these schools were run at that time. He spent a month in Kashmir, and took advantage of every opportunity to explore the area. The book conveys the love he had for this beautiful part of the world and allows the reader to share in its splendour.
