Social Psychology - is a general introduction to the academic discipline of SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY. The major objective of the book is to show the relatively distinctive nature, scope and significance of social psychology as an academic enterprise. It is hoped that this book will enable the reader - especially students of social psychology at the undergraduate, postgraduate, or diploma levels to acquire a comprehensive and broad-based knowledge and understanding of the overall nature, purpose, and relevance of social psychology as a social or human behavioural science subject. The author is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at The University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. He was the Hon. Commissioner for Education and Health in Delta State Nigeria, 1994 -1997.
