The chaos and destruction from a virus that turns its victims into enraged monsters goes into remission, leaving a silent world.



Following failed attempts to find an infection free zone, Nila Carter and her group retreat back to the safety and sanctity of her father's cabin. After a period of waiting, believing the infection to be over, Nila and the others venture out to find a long term home.



Optimistically, they believe they will find a fresh start in a fresh place. They are not the only survivors to emerge after the long winter.
