Alex Ash is an author and lives in the city of Bath in the UK. When Ginny, an old friend, asks him to go and see her in London he rapidly becomes enmeshed in her world.
A murder at the jazz club she introduces him to launches a series of dramatic twists and turns that sees questions posed over the whole basis of her family life.
