Homicide Detective Ian MacKenzie has been given a two-month old murder to solve, only his strongest lead is in the form of Jeremy Kaufman, eyewitness to the murder and current resident of The Kefner House mental facility. Ian had never believed Jeremy was insane despite the televised footage the night of murder. He had also never denied his attraction to Jeremy, a fact that put him even more at odds with fellow Detective Vince Christian. With Ian's captain vying for a conviction and Vince Christian threatening to use Ian's attraction to put him in front of Internal Affairs, Ian doesn't have any room for anything else on his plate. But then he meets Jeremy in person, and what he finds is a series of stunning revelations in addition to a man he would desperately like to help, and one he would desperately like to call his own.
