Author Joan O'Callaghan has been a sessional lecturer at both Queens University and since 1996, the University of Toronto (OISE). She was the recipient of the Golden Apple Award from Queen's University Faculty of Education for Excellence in Teaching, and was named Professor of the Year by the OISE/UT Students Council, as well as Most Engaging English Instructor and Most Inspirational Instructor. Illustrator Dr. Jane Coryell is an award-winning volunteer set designer for several community theatre groups in the Oakville area. Between 1979 and 2017, she has designed over 140 local productions. Between 1966 and 1999, she taught English, French, Creative Drama, Visual Arts, and Les Arts Visuels at various times in 7 Halton high schools. Her M. A. (1985) is in Curriculum Design with University of Toronto (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education). Her PhD (1995) is in Arts Education, also from OISE.
