To say these poems are feminist is an understatement; these poems are the female gaze, a way of seeing that emerges after stripping away the man-made system of values that has been instilled in all of us since early childhood. Read and follow the vanishing backside of McMurray's protagonist as she makes her way through a conscious and subconscious funhouse of mirrors, ultimately taking your hand to help lift you up and out like a big sister who knows because she's been there.
