Asha Kaur is a strong-willed fun-loving mother who struggles to accept her past in India. Jitendra Jha is a stubborn father with a fiery temper who is plagued by demons that he continuously tries to subdue. Deepika is their feisty and affectionate Canadian-born young adult daughter, who is graduating university this year. With Deepika about to start her own life and begin a journey so different from her parents', they both feel the need to make themselves more known to her. Can Deepika and her father find a middle ground despite having such different views on life? Are Asha and Deepika able to rediscover the close relationship they had when she was younger?
