A Preparatory Foundation for Pastoral Ministry
Maynard H Belt
The purpose of this course is to give ministerial students a preliminary view of pastoral ministry from a practical perspective. It will familiarize those sensing a call from God into ministry some helpful insights that are not always taught in present day seminary curricula. Ministry is people and the closer we can get to them, the more effective we will be in serving them spiritually. Pastors are servant leaders. Warren Wiersbe defines ministry this way: "Ministry takes place when divine resources meet human needs through loving channels to the glory of God." Hopefully the following course of study will be beneficial to any recognizing God's special call upon their lives for vocational ministry.
