Resistentialism is a word to describe the seemingly spiteful behavior manifested by inanimate objects, where objects that cause problems (like lost keys or a runaway bouncy ball) exhibit a high degree of malice toward humans. Why choose this title for a book of material compiled from different artists, writers, and photographers? Better question might be why hasn't it been used before? The work gathered here in this compendium celebrates artists, both past and present, both near and far, who have influenced or been influenced by a simple little coffee shop called Interzone, in Corvallis, Oregon. Not meant to be read as a final statement, but rather the continuation of an ongoing conversation; it is just a small taste of the creativity that has been, and continues to be, found within not only the walls of this book, but the walls of this establishment.
