In this book, I have detailed mundane tasks that we keep doing in everyday life and feel burdened by it. With time it gets boring. I have figured out how to make the boring tasks of everyday life interesting. These tasks are actually important and hold its significance in our lives, but we continuously like to put off. Explore this book to find out more. 1. Commuting: Commuting from one place to another is a mundane task that we carry out almost every day. Now if you enjoy long drives on a picnic, that's a very different feeling. But if you were to do so every single day, then it wouldn't give you the same feeling. Some tips to make commuting interesting, while you are travelling by train, bus or any other public transport for thirty one days of the month: 1) Listen to Soft Music, Audio Books and Podcasts.2) Read a book or a newspaper. 3) Prepare your to-do lists, schedules, and lunch-dates. 4) Write a book. Learn meanings of difficult words. 5) Go off to sleep.6) Learn a language using an app on your phone. 7) Learn or study for a certificate or learn how to transition into a new role at your career. 8) Spend time on social media sites, emails; catch up on phone with family or friends and voice messages. 9) Once in a week or so, try not to commute, but drive, walk, carpool or take a different mode of transport, perhaps go on a bike and that can give you a good exercise too or try to take a scenic route, instead of the normal route. Be transit-smart and make use of the travelling offers available. 10) Pray, Repeat a mantra in your head, Meditate.11) Speak to strangers.12) Commute with a friend. 13) Avoid commuting by working from home. 14) Play games on your phone. 15) Watch your favourite serial episode or movie on your phone. 16) Sudoku, Crosswords. 17) Take pictures and make a collage. 18) Work on your laptop. 19) Write your personal daily diary or blog. 20) Draw and Colour. 21) Paint your nails; Comb your hair, Apply make-up, lipstick, Groom your nails.22) Walk from one end of the train to the other as a walking exercise. 23) Work on your part-time job, perhaps on surveys, answer queries on Quora. 24) Write a letter to your friend, write on greeting cards. 25) Set up doctor appointments, Parent Teacher Meetings, Book your vacation, apply for Annual Leave. 26) Knitting. 27) Take a video of your commute journey every day. 28) Get some jobs done on your commute. Got to pick up something or run an errand as part of your commute.29) Say hi to everyone you pass on the bike, runners and people walking their dog. Give them a great big smile and you'll surprise yourself at how good you'll feel when you finish your commute.30) Pick up a few friends on the way and drop them back after work and vice versa. Commute together. 31) Try a flexible job. 2. Cooking: If you have an interest in cooking it relieves you from taking this activity as a chore. Even otherwise, if you have to cook every day and every meal, it would definitely make it a loathing activity and you might simply try to push it off. Some tips to make cooking interesting for thirty one days of the month: 1) Do quick and easy meals when you are not in a mood. You can keep at least one of the meals as salads and fruit juice for which you do not need a lot of time to prepare. 2) Do lots of cutting, storing and preparation beforehand when you are watching television. 3) Clean as and when you are done and do not keep the cleaning for the end. 4) Make cooking at least one meal a day a habit. Be consistent on the time that everyone needs to be at the dining table for eating. Be persistent with the habit cultivated. 5) Run different errands along with cooking. Example: Let's say you have to cut vegetables, at the same time you can watch television.
