Neptune King and the Burlesque Murder

In this the 32nd book in the Neptune King series, Shark and Neptune are hired by the extremely beautiful Justine Longford, a woman long used to getting her own way with men. She wants them to find her sister's killer. The detectives tackle the investigation in their usual thorough way but are hindered somewhat by Justine's demands and interference, driving Neptune to uncharacteristic rudeness. Unlike most men, Neptune isn't overcome by her beauty and maintains a healthy suspicion about her motives and behavior, meantime Shark, while not smitten, finds it hard to believe ill of her. Rose Longford, Justine's identical twin sister was working as a burlesque star and thanks to her beauty had numerous suitors, many of whom were quite persistent in trying to win her favors, including the investigating officer who wasn't making any headway on the case.
