About the Author: Syl Johnson is a Grammy-nominated blues and soul singer/songwriter who for decades has captured audiences with his soulful voice. Coming from a family of musicians and singers, he quickly found his passion in music. With roots in Chicago from the 1950s, the performer played alongside such notable blues artists as Junior Wells and Howlin' Wolf.
