Starting to Soar
Summer Barcenas
In 2012 Summer's family left everything in their American small town and bought a camper to explore Europe. At age 14 she wasn't so keen on the idea and struggled with leaving everything she once knew. While trying to keep in contact with friends back home and living out of a suitcase, she realizes how much more there is to life than she had once believed. This is a story of self discovery and world exploration for a family of four who have no idea what is in store for them. The family becomes closer than ever before as they navigate the mazes of the Paris metro, befriend a sweet Spanish dog, and face monkey invasions. Five years and many adventures later "Starting to Soar" is released. Follow their journey through the eyes of 14 year old Summer as she learns all that she is capable of, on the trip that will forever change the way she looks at the world.
