"Between Paris and Moscow" is a project that encompasses and translates to the reader Xenia's fascination with the Russian Silver age, and particularly the work of Marina Tsvetaeva. Less known to the overseas audience than her contemporaries Anna Akhmatova, Osip Mandelstam or Alexander Blok, Marina Tsvetaeva was an unruly child of Russian literature, who leaped with no fear into experiments with rhythm, structure, symbolism and the mere language form. Xenia's ambition is to share her love to the legacy of this contradictory poet by selecting, translating and illustrating Marina Tsvetaeva's work in the artistic project that highlights the idea of joint misplacedness and universality of a poet's figure; of being dissolved between cultures, locations, and times.
