Prior to being released from federal prison in 2018, my younger brother Randy and I had a conversation about my life and how much time I had spent in jail or prison. Afterwards, he said that I should consider writing a book about my life. I had to agree with him and thought it was a great idea. So, while I still had tons of spare time on my hands. I started writing and over the next month or so I had written over 700 handwritten pages. It took a while after I was released to finish it but I did and Randy was kind enough to type it for me. I am just a country boy with a middle school education. Randy is a 20 year Army veteran and well versed in technology, so I leaned heavily on him to get through the publishing process. Finally, this book covers my stealing of a fruitcake tin from my aunt when I was 3 years old and ended with my spending over 40 years in prison and being released as an old man. This book covers major events during my journey through this life. I was raised by a God fearing father. Despite all his efforts, I began what would become a life of crime at the early age of 3 years old. I always wanted to be in control and get things the easy way and that would end up in my stealing them, selling drugs or breaking other laws. As a result I spent most of my life in jail or prison. Now, I am an old man, I finally learned my lesson and just want to live out my remaining years as a loving father and grandfather.
