Iseul leaped past Chikondi, flinging himself straight down into the deepest part of the pool. Laughter sounded above him as he sank under the churning surface of the water.



Beautiful. The peace enticed him to stay until his lungs burned and a tiny gold fish darted close.



Until he left the water and discovered that more lurked under the surface than he expected. And more waited him on land, if he survived.
