Scarlet's Escape is the second in the Scarlet and Duke Series. After barely escaping the New York Mob, Gangbangers, and her ex-husband hitman, Scarlet visits Jimmy's family in Italy and now faces Big Tony Gambucci's father, Ernesto Gambucci, the real patriarch of the crime family. When Scarlet and Jimmy return to Jackson, the Gangbanger Duke attacked in Scarlet's Secret dies. His Mother begs a relative connected to the Sinaloa Cartel to kill Scarlet. Rather than kill her, they decide to sell her to a Saudi Prince. Scarlet is headed to be enslaved and forced upon by the royal family. Kidnapped in daylight outside of Jimmy's diner, Scarlet is driven three days to Bucerias, Mexico. She tries several times to escape and ends up with blood on her hands. Finally, arriving in Mexico, Scarlet is held hostage in an abandoned motel. Once again, she tries to escape only to be caught and locked up in a wine cellar...without a corkscrew. Jimmy, Michelle, Vincent, and Duke all descend upon Mexico to rescue Scarlet.
