Brentwood, Los Angeles, 1995: Senator Trevor Garry is killed in the middle of night by an intruder. Young journalist Amanda Ryan is assigned to cover the case, but she is inexperienced and her drive gets her deeper into a world where lies rule and corruption is business as usual. When another politician is killed, Amanda is determined to find who is behind the murders. But as she gets closer to the truth, the killer turns his attention to the young journalist and will stop her at any cost before she uncovers his identity.
