Claire Anderson, recently successful screen writer/novelist living in Toronto, witnesses a strange sight. A nude man walks down her pre-dawn street and then vanishes. While still struggling with the reality of what she has seen Claire's agent hands her a good reason to get out of town. She is given a short speaking tour of three colleges in the American south. Here she encounters a strange fundamentalist Christian cult and an FBI agent who is searching for his missing brother. What neither Claire or the agent knows is this cult is led by a survivor of the World War two disaster called the Philadelphia experiment. He survived the event with the firm conviction that the creators of that event had found a way to see the face of God!
