Charlotte Perkins Gilman was an early 20th century American social reformer. She wrote non-fiction, poetry, short stories, and novels. After a case of depression and medical mistreatment she wrote The Yellow Wallpaper for which she gained recognition. Andrecentric refers to the conscious or unconscious practice of putting male humans at the center of ones view of the world, culture, and history.
