The Girl from Montana
Grace Livingston Hill
Grace Livingston Hill was an early 20th century Christian Romance novelist. She is credited with having written hundreds of short stories and novels. Her strong female characters were either solid Christian women or women who became Christian during the course of the story. Hill's message was always the same: good verses evil. Elizabeth lived in primitive circumstances in Montana. When the last of her family dies she flees Montana and a man who wants to make her his own. On her journey East she meets a man who is also lost. Elizabeth prays often but does not really know the Lord. Eventually Elizabeth makes her way to Philadelphia where she meets her relatives.
