The American Tract Society published this small work in 1820 which was intended to be given as a gift to the newly married and to older married couples as well. It contains a wealth of "affectionate advice" from the heart of a Christian minister who spent his life seeking to "present every man (and woman) complete in Christ." "This useful little work, from the pen of a highly respectable English clergyman, has passed through six editions in England, and one large edition in this country.
