She did cataloging at the Stephen Foster Memorial Collection at the University of Pittsburgh and the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania. She was Director of a local historical society in Colorado, and has worked in the Missouri State Archives since 2001. She has worked in two public libraries in Louisiana, and she taught "Managing a Local History Museum" for SJSU. Ann also teaches voice and has sung in operas.
