Contributor Bio:  Guy-Sheftall, Beverly Beverly Guy-Sheftall is President of the National Women's Studies Association, the founding Director of the Women's Research and Resource Center, and Professor of Women's Studies at Spelman College. She has been involved with the national women's studies movement since its inception and provided leadership for the establishment of the first women's studies major at a historically Black college. Contributor Bio:  Cole, Johnnetta Betsch Cole graduated from Oberlin College and later earned an M. A. and Ph. D. in Anthropology from Northwestern University. She is the president of Spelman.
