Manci's Girl
Bennett Alan Weinberg Esq
The updated noir thriller, MANCI'S GIRL, is framed as a memoir, told by Baldwin, a young writer and bon vivant whose life becomes entangled with murder, the Mafia, a major politico, computer crime, and, most critically, with Nikki, the clever, seductive, amoral former mistress of Manci, the Philadelphia crime boss. In MANCI'S GIRL, Baldwin meets and becomes sexually involved with Nikki, who had just lost her coke-dealing boyfriend to an apparent suicide. There follow a series of murders, people appearing and disappearing, and Baldwin's discovery of a satchel filled with a fortune in cash. Nikki offers to use her mob connections to help extricate Baldwin from danger. Meanwhile, behind the scenes and unknown to Baldwin, Nikki is directing most of the action of the story.
