An economic apartheid separates the large underclass from the professionals who serve the all-powerful globals, living a hot-house existence of relentless work, productivity implants and continual monitoring.
In the ageing UK factory of a Japanese global, a murder triggers the arrival of the corporate investigation team.
The deadline for solving the case is tight, yet the team is soon caught in a web of violence, corporate politics and something even more sinister. All too quickly the lives of the investigators and perhaps the very existence of the company itself are under threat.
