This is a collection of essays by a senior Chinese who moved to the US after retirement and finds his path towards a healthy, satisfying and happy later life. Mr. Haisheng Deng makes vivid records of his life in a senior apartment: his hobbies of calligraphy, singing and reading, his special way of exercising, his genuine and active communication with family and neighbors, and his optimism. These all helped greatly when he and his wife were both diagnosed with Cancer in 2012 which could be a catastrophe for most people. Yet they both survived their surgeries, quickly recovered and resumed their active lives shortly after. A very inspiring book especially for seniors.
