Publisher Marketing: Ray Garver is the Chief of Police in Apache Junction, a small quiet suburb east of Phoenix, Arizona. Garver doesn't want much out of life and what he wants he already has, except the right woman. When a week of torrential rain causes erosion of biblical proportions in the nearby mountains, his simple life will be turned upside down by two incredible discoveries, one on the mountain and the other in a vibrant new professional acquaintance. But these aren't just any mountains, they're the Superstition Mountains, and when Garver uncovers six hideous human skeletons beneath the slopes of Weavers Needle while investigating a Park Ranger's murder, a multitude of new questions surface. Are past frontier myths real? Is there any truth in old Apache legends? Can modern day technology reveal the ominous facts, or will the old bones of the Superstitions hide their mysterious secrets forever? Garver's investigation will unearth the past, uncover a growing conspiracy in the present, and propel the world into a new and unimaginable future. And when rigid scientific and religious beliefs collide, it won't be in a stuffy classroom or private corporate laboratory, but on the treacherous dusty trails of the Superstition Mountains. Contributor Bio: Barnett, Ken Ken Barnett is a retired construction accountant who resides on the West Coast with his wife Barbara. He majored in journalism in high school and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. Ken began writing again after a spinal cord injury severely limited his mobility and "The Eleventh Message" is his first novel. While he already does laundry and dishes, his wife told him he needed to find something else to do with his time or start performing more housekeeping chores. He figured that writing was a better option and your purchase of this book will enable him to keep pen in hand, leaving the dusting and vacuuming to others. For that he is forever grateful.
