Breaking Faith

What's an impressionable young boy to do the day he discovers his parents, his preacher, his Sunday School teachers, cousins, aunts, uncles, TV ads, and toy merchants reveal it just isn't so - there is no Santa Claus. What else has he been lied to about? The Easter Bunny? The Boogey Man? Leprechauns and rainbows? How much of this is real and how much is made up? And how do these myths and legends shape who we are? That young boy went on to study theology at Mercer University as he worked as a youth minister in one of the Georgia Baptist Convention's most influential congregations. He discovered and continues to understand the truth about not only his own Christian faith, but that all faiths are built on myths. After two decades of reflection, he is totally and completely confident that it is all myth.
