Matt's Summer

Publisher Marketing: She's the new owner of the Davenport Ranch trying to learn everything she can. He wants to talk to the "man" that is now the owner and keeps running into this exasperating woman. Dawn finds herself owning the sprawling ranch she spent her summers at during her childhood. With her son deployed and her mother recent death after years of battling cancer, she is ready to move on with her life. The elderly Jonathan Davenport asked her to take care of the property for him. Through their friendship, she ends up buying the ranch. He remains living on the main house until he dies. However, he has asked Dawn for several promises she is determined to fulfill. Keeping her promises to Jonathan should have been easy. She finds, however that his son Matt was going to make things difficult to keep them. Jonathan's son Matt hears the name of the new owner and assumes the person is a man. He does not like what he finds. Hiring a private detective to look into the man's shady past sets off several events that put the lives of the people at the ranch in danger. Matt's demand to speak to the "man" who owns the ranch causes a great deal of humor. He is continually bumping into this woman, who appears to be in charge, but no one will tell him who she is. Once he thinks, he has an idea of her identity he only has it half right and is still not finding the "man" who owns the ranch. Once the dust settles with all the frustration, anxiety and misunderstandings discovered, one question remains. Can this man and the new owner of the ranch ever accept the attraction that simmers between them without hurting each other?
