Diary of a Ballplayer Who Found Peace

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Dan Quinn, now 68 years old, was the oldest of seven children. He went to St. Teresa's Grammar School and later Bishop Timon High School where he graduated in 1965. His athletic feats during his youth were legendary. He excelled in whatever sport he participated in - Basketball, Track, and most significantly, Baseball. In fact, he was drafted as a Pitcher by the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization after completing a stellar career at Buffalo State College and numerous top local Baseball leagues. He has since been recognized for his prowess being inducted into the Bishop Timon High School Athletic Hall of Fame and the Western New York Baseball Hall of Fame. He then encountered numerous mental and physical afflictions. Using his unique perspective as a star athlete and relying on his strong Catholic faith, he was able to cope with his demons. He now resides in an Orchard Park Health Care Facility where he shares with others his faith-based perspective in his writings and in person.
