Dr. Smith has served on the Tumor Board of Tuomey Healthcare System, Community Liaison on the America Heart and Stroke Association, Treasurer of the Lower Orangeburg and Upper Dorchester Duke Endowment, Advisory Committee of the Boys and Girls Club of Sumter, SC, Vice-President of the Wateree Aids Tasks Force of Sumter, SC, President of Bowman Ministerial Association, Vice President of the Sumter Ministerial Association, Member of the Ninety Six Ministerial Association, and a visiting professor Morris College B. E. E. P. Dr. Smith was ordained in the United Methodist and Baptist Denominations and currently serves as the Pastor of Three Pillars Baptist Church of the Southern Baptist Church. Dr. Smith is endorsed by the North American Mission Board of the SBC Church and is a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains. His accomplishment and honors are numerous. His education includes Bachelors from South Carolina State University, a Master of Divinity, and Doctorate of Ministry from Erskine Theological Seminary. In 2007 Dr. Smith was recognized by the State of South Carolina by the Pineville and St. Stephens Charge of the United Methodist Church as an outstanding clergy person. Presently, Dr. Smith is the manager/director of pastoral care at Tuomey Healthcare System in Sumter, South Carolina."
