102,000 stray and abandoned dogs were recorded in the United Kingdom in just one year. Of these high numbers recorded, figures show that 5,000 of these unwanted dogs were euthanized. That equates to one dog every two hours. Stan the Man is a story based in actual events and follows the life of a Staffordshire bull terrier from his days at the rescue centre to his life after he was adopted. Staffordshire bull terriers take up more than half of rescue centres spaces. Overbred and with the unfair recent bad publicity surrounding their breed they are sadly one of the most unwanted and undesirable breeds in the United Kingdom.
