Sunset is a science fiction / fantasy comedy set on Earth in the far future, when the sun is about to expire. The heroes are a small government committee charged with the job of figuring out what to do when the world ends. While the committee is hard at work, everyone else on Earth is putting on a giant variety show. But the untimely arrival of a ship full of aliens threatens to derail everyone?s plans. Sunset is a satire on mankind?s precarious place in the universe and on the perpetual struggle between art and science as worthy human endeavours, as well as a doomsday thriller. Sunset will appeal to readers of books such as Douglas Adams Hitchhiker?s Guide, Terry Pratchett?s Discworld books, and Grant Naylor?s Red Dwarf.
