For a Bowl of Rice: a True Story

Abby is a woman who has always strived to do right by the ones around her, first her parents and then her husband and two daughters. She has dedicated her existence to help her children have the life she always wanted and to this end followed her husband to a new country. And now twenty years, thousands of paid bills, a college tuition and an almost treated agoraphobia (her eldest daughter's) later she is looking forward to a period of tranquility. Little does she know that life has something else in store for her, a drama (her youngest daughter's well-kept secret) that will send Abby spinning into guilt, frustration, desperation, helplessness, anger and in the end action. Challenging, unnerving yet rewarding, this extra obstacle will turn out to teach both mother and daughter about the gifts concealed behind each experience.
