Sierra Dawning

In 1975, Sierra Dawning, a 25-year-old ICU RN from Southern California, has no reason to believe there is a God. As a result of her upbringing, she never gives the subject of God much thought. That is all about to change. Following a careless medication error, Sierra decides to start her life over in Bishop, California, located at the foot of the majestic Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains. There she meets and falls in love with Jonathan, a devout evangelical Christian. The resulting emotional conflict challenges both her preconceived notions about Christians and her spiritual condition. Jonathan, though consistently pursuing Sierra, remains elusive and evasive when it comes to seeking a romantic relationship. Sierra struggles with the knowledge that she and Jonathan are worlds apart. A near-fatal incident while backpacking, however, forces Sierra to face the issue of her own mortality and question her previous notions about God. When Jonathan eventually reveals to Sierra his true intentions, she is left to wonder whether or not she can ever have a future with the man with whom she has fallen in love. Little does Sierra Dawning realize that there is yet another who pursues her and wants to have a love relationship with her even more.
