Origins

Mary Kathleen (Kay) Smith has gone through a traumatic divorce, and it has turned her life upside down. Kay, and her former husband, Ted McKendric, have injured each other in irreversible ways. Kay is living by herself and reviewing her life. She has lost the friends she had when she and Ted were a couple, and she must start her life over again. Kay's questions and discoveries begin when she meets and develops an enduring friendship, with Lorraine Sanchez. Lorraine's bizarre behaviors encourage Kay to access the meaning of her own life, and search for her own origins, which Kay concludes, are extraterrestrial. Kay encounters personal tragedy, which helps her to discover an inner strength she did not know she had, and ultimately leads her to a surreal family reunion, and her life's purpose.
