John Carr
Sir John Carr (1772-1832) was an English barrister, illustrator, poet and traveller throughout Europe. In 1805 he was knighted by the Duke of Bedford. His works include: The Stranger in France; or, A Tour From Devonshire to Paris (1803), The Stranger in Ireland; or, A Tour in the Southern and Western Parts in the Year 1805 (1806), Poems (1809) and Travels in the Southern and Eastern Parts of Spain (1811).
