The People of New East City: a Fictional Anthology

Satire and irony stampede through New East City, a major metropolis, as it's people speak candidly of each other, politics, education, the issue of 'choice' guns, the mental treatment system and abuses in it, doctors who care more for the health of their bank account than of their patients, etcetera. Instead of the mayor doing what is known to eliminate homelessness, homeless people are labeled guilty of 'quality of life crimes' He believes if a New Easter puts a package on the seat next to him it may cause paralysis of the entire city. A psychiatric aide says abuses help patients, the patients say they do not. Indians talk about Indian removals, boarding schools and Indian Territory. Mental patient's complaints are not handled adequately. Patients are abused with no recourse. More people have mental illnesses than any other kind, except heart disease. Will you get abused? People we don't consider human are. This book gives them a voice.
