The Neon Buddha
Suzann Stahl
The Neon Buddha was written shortly before the author's move to Oregon in 2002. Most of the poetry and short stories were written in the six months prior to her recent move. The first edition of The Neon Buddha, published in 2002, was a collection of poetry, short stories, and essays about spiritual life and life in general. In 2003, Ms. Stahl added thirty new poems and two new stories. Humor and candid observation comprise most of the work along with introspection regarding the quality of life in our present time. The signature poem for The Neon Buddha still is "In the Light of the Neon Buddha." Several new poems in this edition have been featured in poetry anthologies. The poem "Letting Go" will be featured in the forthcoming book entitled, "Who's Who in International Poetry" and is scheduled for publication in 2005.
