Two cousins blow into the town of Austin, Texas to escape the rising cost of living on the West Coast. They are single, but not lonely. They want to find soul mates, but aren't looking. One has the dream of becoming a writer, and the other a doctor, but they birth new dreams down in Austin. Not willing to network corporate America, they begin to network the planet, beginning with Texas. Before they grow up, go back home and settle down, they set out to explore their own destinies in a journey away from fear. Mediocre jobs are abandoned in San Francisco and the first apartment is decorated on their shoestring budget. New mediocre jobs are obtained in Texas, but now these friends are making their own way in a city separate from their roots. Reminders of moments of indecision are recalled with growing wisdom and the solace that hot spices, slackers on the stoop, wooden chairs, Latin voices and new friendly faces that have become part of the wallpaper of their new home. The dice is cast and these two slightly quirky young women set out to find adventure in the Southern Bohemia of Austin and discover that happiness is a state of mind.
