Winter's jeweled forest is brought out in Joshua's poems and short story. Several favorite characters from his novels, "Hawk Dancer" and "Cloudburst" are included in these modern fiction works. "Wabanong Run" honors the Ojibwe run from Wisconsin's Lake Superior shore line to Washington Dc in 1998, obtaining a favorable Supreme Court decission honoring treaties.
